The American Association of Dental Boards delivers on its mission to support member boards by drafting a licensure compact for the profession. Work to complete the compact is expected to be complete by the end of August, 2023.
The compact adopts the existing structures most utilized by Dental Boards across the United States while ensuring the safety of the public, by Member States, through the sharing of documents and information. This compact ensures that each state retains the right to impose an adverse action on a licensee as a home state or as a practicing state.
The compact will be the work of the AADB Compact Commission composed of representatives of member jurisdictions. The AADB is the nation’s longest-running professional agency in dentistry, serving the community for more than 140 years.
